A pigeon was arrested by the police in India, believing it to be carrying a secret message from Pakistan.
The bird was actually seized in the ‘Manwal’ village, which is at the border of India and Pakistan in Punjab.
Though, the bird appeared normal in the beginning, a 14 year boy observed some markings on its feathers, which made him curious to know about it and thus reported the bird to the nearest police station.
The officials observed a message written in Urdu and also a series of numbers. The police alerted the security agencies before investigating the pigeon.
“Nothing adverse has been found, but we have kept the bird in our custody, “We came across a few instances of pigeons flying with cameras to spy on the ground”, Pathankot’s senior superintendent of police Rakesh Kaushal told.
Actually, the bird is a rare instance from Pakistan and the officials have already caught a few spies in the country.
But the thing is, there was no such camera, chips or SIM cards, that are observed on pigeon after the inspection was done. However, the pigeon was kept under the custody of the police for further investigation.
