Following the Sydney attack, the protection to Indian cricket team has been increased by the Australian government. India is on a three months tour to the cricketing nation and have already done with one Test match. The second Test is due to begin in Brisbane and Ministry of External Affairs is looking after the security measures taken by the local authorities.
Earlier today, an armed man entered a popular cafe in Sydney and held about 40 hostages. The hostages were spotted rising their hands and flag black with Arabic script was also seen from the cafe windows. About five people managed to escape however according to the sources, an Indian techie from Andhra Pradesh is heard to be among the hostages.
