India's Mohammad Shami has been ruled out the five match bilateral series against Sri Lanka which will start from November 2nd while Dhawal Kulkarni will fill the slot of the injured Shami. BCCI has confirmed Dhawal Kulkarni's inclusion in the Indian squad and Shami will fly to the NCA for the rehabilitation.

This is a major blow for India, as Shami has been the wicket taker for India. MS Dhoni has been rested for this series while Virat Kohli will lead the side. Rohit Sharma is also not in the squad and India will be testing its bench players ahead of the World Cup which is due in six months.
