Telangana government withdrew to hold comprehensive household survey in seven mandals which were merged in Andhra Pradesh according to the Polavaram ordinance. The TS government finally came down on the Polavaram issue in which it has been fighting with both Andhra Pradesh government and Central government.

Seven mandals from Khammam district were merged in AP state through an ordinance in the recently concluded Parliament sessions. Though Telangana government fought very hard for them, as part of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill, NDA government merged with AP state.
