Uttar Pradesh Governor BL Joshi has stepped down from the post and has sent his resgination letter to the ministry of Home Affairs. Just when it was in the air that BJP government is looking to replace Governors for several states, this move from Joshi was unexpected. Mr. Joshi's tenure will end next month and till a new Governor is appointed, he would continue as the care-taker Governor of UP.
