Mid-Day Meal Workers Protests in Telangana:- Telangana Mid-Day Meals Scheme workers union has protested at Dharna Chowk in the surroundings of the Indira Park, Hyderabad. They took up the street in demand to allocate funds to fulfil their promises like increasing wages.
The Union has demanded to allocate a budget and asked to fulfil their needs as promised earlier. The workers who play a key role in providing nutritious food for the school children have come out in huge numbers to protest against the government and demand to revise their wages. They had made their grievances clear to the government.

The union says that many of the dedicated employees rely only on wages and fail to reach the basic necessities of their families. They asked the government to look into the matter immediately and consider it an urgent issue.
This is not the first protest from the Mid Day Meals Scheme Workers Union. They even participated in a protest ‘ Chalo Hyderabad’ campaign with over 1000 workers. Earlier for their salary settlements, many workers from different places in the state have come to Hyderabad and protested. Now they are protesting for the same old reason, which has not been fulfilled yet. Today’s protest by the Union has grabbed public attention.
