Renewable Energy Project in Rayalaseema:- Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan will lay a foundation stone for three renewable energy projects in the Rayalaseema region of Nandyal district today.

A unit at Januthala Village of Owk Mandal will include a 2300 MW solar power unit, Kandikayapalle village of Panyam mandal will have a capacity of 1,014 MW (700 MW solar and 314 wind power) and Benthamcherla Mandal’s Muddavaram village project will have 2000 MW (1000 MW solar and 1000 MW wind power).

M/s Greenko, M/s AW Green Energy and M/s Ecoren Energy have collaborated individually with Andhra Pradesh for these projects. YS Jagan will launch the projects virtually from his Tadepally office.

AP Transco JMD Chakradhar Babu has visited the site and reviewed the arrangements. Later he addressed the media and said YS Jagan is planning to develop large-scale renewable energy power projects in the Rayalaseema districts.

APGenco is also in talks with the National Hydro Power Corporation for the storage of power projects. Jagan targeted towards the decrease of carbon emissions. APGenco has also got approval to conclude MoU with M/s NHPC for Yaganti and Kamalapadu pumped storage projects, this will be the second phase of development. NHPC and APGenco will have a 50:50 share for the pumped storage projects.
