YS Jagan to Start Amma Vodi Program Today in Chittoor:- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy is all set to inaugurate the announced 'Amma Vodi' program from today and the program will start today at 11.45 AM in Chittoor. All the parents having children studying between first class and Intermediate will be applicable for this scheme in which they are paid Rs 15,000 per years. This is an unique scheme which is the first of it's kind in the country. Every poor and needy mother who sends their children to school will be paid Rs 15,000 per annum as the finanical assistance. The assistance will be applicable to all the poor and needy mothers who children are studying in government, private, aided, residential schools and colleges from first class to intermediate.
The budget allocated is said to be Rs 6456 crores. Around 43 lakh mothers and around 82 lakh children will be benefited through this scheme. English medium will be introduced in all the government schools and Telugu will be made mandatory to protect the Telugu language said YS Jagan in a statement in the past. YS Jagan even promised the parents that the AP Government is making all their efforts to curb down the fees collected by corporate educational institutions. The promised amount will be deposited to the account on next January 26th every year.
