Taj Mahal to be Open for Tourists During Nights:- Taj Mahal which is named as one of the seven wonders of the world is said to be at its aesthetic best in the moonlight. But the tourists are asked to leave after the sunset. The night access for Taj Mahal is allowed at a premium of only five nights in a month. Union tourism and culture minister Prahlad Singh Patel said that Taj Mahal will remain open beyond the access time. “We have been receiving a lot of requests to keep the monument open during the night hours. We are dedicated to make this a reality,” said Prahlad Singh Patel.

The tourism ministry is in plans to develop all the infrastructure required for night vists and it would be open nights very soon. Night views are now available five days in a month: on full moon night along with two nights preceding and following the full moon. Only 400 tourists are allowed and the price is charged Rs 510 per adult and for foreign nationals, it is Rs 750 per head. Ten Indian monuments will be available for night visit.

Rajarani Temple Complex (Odisha), Dulhadeo Temple, Khajuraho (Madhya Pradesh), Sheikh Chilli Tomb (Haryana), Safdarjung Tomb (Delhi), Humayun’s Tomb (Delhi), Markanda, Chamursi (Maharashtra), Man Mahal, Vaidhshala (UP) and Rani Ki Vav (Gujarat) are the other monuments available soon in nights.
