Kathua Rape and Murder Case: Six Announced Convicted:- The sensational Kathua rape and murder case verdict has been pronounced by the District and Sessions court in Pathankot today. Six out of the seven accused have been convicted and the court is expected to announce the final verdict about the quantum of punishment at 2 PM today. The incident took place in 2018. Village head Sanji Ram along with his son Vishal, Anand Dutta, Parvesh Kumar and two special cops Deepak Khajuria, Surendar Verma, head constable Tilak Raj have been announced convicted by the trial court.
An eight-year-old girl was kidnapped on January 10th 2018 and was raped in a village temple in Kathua and was killed. The Supreme Court ordered the case to be shifted out of Jammu and Kashmir after which it was handed over to Pathankot court. The trial of Vishal is yet to begin. The court also framed charges of destruction of the evidence and causing hurt by poisoning. The girl who was grazing horses went missing and was found dead after the incident.
