Raids On Hyderabad Malls: 125 Cases Booked

Raids On Hyderabad Malls: 125 Cases Booked:- Despite of several warnings from the Telangana Government, the food courts in the shopping malls continued to violate the rules. The Legal Metrology department continued raids in the malls across Hyderabad and 125 cases have been booked till date in Greater Hyderabad region. In a press release, Legal Metrology department informed that the GST rates have been reduced on some of the products but some of the shopping malls, supermarkets continued to sell with the old GST prices.

16 special teams have been formed with 32 officers and the raids are continued across Manikonda, Madhapur, Hitec City, Bachupally, Kompally, Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Nampally, Serilingampally, Gachibowli, Begum Bazar, Kukatpally, Miyapur and Ameerpet. Legal Metrology Department Controller Akun Sabharwal revealed the news and he said that 16 inspectors have been promoted as District Legal Metrology Officers. Heavy fines will be imposed and licenses would be cancelled if the shopping malls, supermarkets violate the rules.
