RBI All Set To Issue New Rs 100 Notes:- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is in plans to issue new Rs 100 denomination in lavender colour. After Rs 2000, Rs 500, Rs 200, Rs 50 and Rs 10 notes have been introduced, The Reserve Bank of India issued a statement on the new Rs 100 notes. The front side depicts Mahatma Gandhi's face, the back side will have a motif of Rani Ki Vav which highlights the cultural heritage of the country. Rani Ki Vav refers to a memorial constructed in Patan, Gujarat for the 11th century king Bhima.

The dimensions of the new Rs 100 note will be 66 mm × 142 mm which is same as the other released new notes. The old Rs 100 notes will continue to be legal tender informed Reserve Bank of India. Certain new features have been incorporated for the visually impaired. An official announcement about the release date of the new Rs 100 notes is expected soon.
