AP Declares State's Symbols Four Years After Bifurcation

AP Declares State's Symbols Four Years After Bifurcation:- Four years after bifurcation, the new state Andhra Pradesh announced the symbols yesterday. Department of Environment, Forest, Science and Technology via a Government Order (GO) announced the symbols. Blackbuck (Krishna Jinka) has been retained as the state's animal and Rose ringed Parakeet (Rama Chiluka) as the state's bird. Neem tree has been declared as the state's tree.

The GO has been issued by Principal Secretary of Environment and Forests G Anantha Ramu. The GO stated that Andhra Pradesh needed a special set of symbols after which the GO has been passed. Water lily has been dropped as the state flower by AP and Telangana while AP opted out Jasmine as their state's flower. Telangana managed to get Tangidi Puvvu used during Bathukamma festival. AP Government announced all the symbols with 2019 elections heading soon while Telangana announced all the state symbols right after the bifurcation.
