Second Largest Tricolor Erected At Hyderabad

After unfurling the largest and tallest tricolor on the second anniversary of the National Day of Telangana, the second largest tricolor has also bee unfurled in the city at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (NPA), in Shivrampally.

The second largest national flag, erected at a tower of 100 feet and unfurled by the Director of Academy, Aruna Bahuguna. The flag, of the size 20’’x30’’ was unfurled in a ceremonial parade that was convened for the purpose.

According to the reports, the mast weights 109 tonnes and stands at 620.89 meters height from the sea level. It has been erected at the Vallabh Shikhar, which is the highest point of the academy.

The statement said, “This tricolor will not be lowered in the evening and the flag will be illuminated by floodlights throughout. This is the second tallest National Flag mast erected in this part of the country. The flag is visible from the surrounding areas, i.e., the P V Narasimha Rao flyover and the Bangalore highway.”

During the ceremony, over 109 probationers of 68 RR and 15 foreign police trainee officers from Bhutan, Nepal and Maldives along with the families of the faculty were present to salute the tricolor.
