Like hubby Nagarjuna, former actress Amala Akkineni is all set to foray the small screen soon. Amala will be making her debut in a TV series later this year in Tamil.

The 'Life is Beautiful' actress has confirmed that she will be part of a Tamil serial and when asked about her role, Amala revealed that she is playing the role of a doctor in the series. “The story is about 12 doctors and their lives, families. When I was approached with this role, I could not say no as the script was so pleasing,” added Amala.

The serial is expected to go air by mid August. Amala said she is too busy for movie and hope to continue in small screen.
