Rahul Dravid to mentor India

Former Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid will mentor team India in its tour of England. In the 2011, India were humiliated by England in Tests and ODIs but only Dravid shined among the batsmen. He scored three centuries in the series but could not save India from a whitewash 4-0 defeat.

This is India's first visit to England with no Dravid, Sachin, Laxman in the squad and all eyes are on the young players. So the team management has asked the BCCI for Rahul's help for the young batsmen who are looking to make permanent berth in the national team. The BCCI has approved team management's request and assigned Rahul Dravid as mentor.

This is will be first time Rahul will be associating with the national team post his retirement in 2012. Rahul is expected to join the team in England on Monday. The first Test between India and England will begin on July 9th at Nottingham.
