Jagan supporters clash with Rajagopal

lakadpati1Tension prevailed in Mylavaram of Krishna district for a while on Friday when YSR Congress party workers and supporters of Vijayawada congress MP Mr Lagadapati Rajagopal clashed with and abused each other in the foulest language.

YSR congress supporters raised slogans against Rajagopal when the latter visited the town for laying foundation stone for additional class rooms in a school.

Taking umbrage for his earlier comments that YSR congress chief YS Jaganmohan reddy should be questioned by police for the helicopter crash that killed YSR, supporters of Jagan obstructed the official programme of Rajagopal and raised slogans ‘Lagadapati Rajagopal Amar Rahe’, ‘Sonia Gandhi Amar Rahe’ provoking him.

Angered at the slogans, Lagadapati came out of his car in a huff and ran towards the YSR congress workers along with his supporters to take on them physically. Supporters of both groups abused each other using unprintable words in the presence of police

After losing their patience, Rajagopal and his supporters chased the YSR workers and tried to beat them but most of the Jagan supporters ran away by then. For fifteen minutes, the area looked like a war zone with the broken pieces of glass doors of the vehicles being seen everywhere.
