The government of Andhra Pradesh is in a deep financial crisis as there are no new investments for the state. The expenses have been increasing and the government is finding it tough to balance both of them. The revenue deficit increased by 900 percent which never happened for any state. AP Economic Development Board CEO JVN Subrahmanyam and Francois Xavier Boul, the CDO of Tabreed of UAE signed a MoU for the mutual collaboration in the field of agriculture cold chain technologies, environmental cooling systems and cargo logistics. The deal was inked at the Dubai Expo 2022 yesterday. Mekapati Goutham Reddy, the Minister for Industries of AP along with R Karika Valaven, the Special Chief Secretary of the state and Zulfi Ravdjee, the Special Representative for the state in Middle East were present.
The entire team led by Mekapati Goutham Reddy visited the Jebel Ali Port and DP World Facility after the deal was signed. They discussed about the joint ventures in the maritime businesses as AP has enough potential. AP government is focused on managing the seaports in the state as there is an ample coastal space. The team also visited the manufacturing unit of Conares Steel. They also visited the Abu Dhabi Global Market in AI Maryah island. APIIC Chairman M. Govinda Reddy, A. P. Maritime Board Deputy CEO Ravindranath Reddy and others were present.
