TRS MPs Boycott Parliament:- The MPs of Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) boycotted the winter session of Parliament after the Centre turned down the request of paddy procurement for the upcoming rabi season. The Centre turned down the request of the Telangana government after which the MPs staged a protest outside the Parliament by boycotting from the house. The MPs from Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha walked out and protested outside the Parliament. They said that there is no need to attend the session as the Centre failed to address or answer for the issue in both the houses. The MPs obstructed the proceedings and raised slogans in the house about the paddy procurement.

As lakhs of tonnes of paddy is lying in the rice mills, the MPs demanded the Centre to procure the pending paddy stocks for the upcoming rabi season and the previous Kharif season. They said that the state would suffer huge losses if the paddy is not procured. They said that the Centre procured paddy from Punjab. Nama Nageshwar Rao, the floor leader of TRS said that they have been raising the demand of paddy procurement in both houses since November 29th from the day the winter session of Parliament commenced. He said that there was no response and they were forced to boycott the session. The Centre is blaming the Telangana government over the issue instead of standing as a support told Nama Nageshwar Rao.
