Telangana government extends lockdown for 10 more days with night curbs:- Telangana state cabinet met yesterday to discuss about various issues including the extension of the lockdown in the state. The deadline for the current lockdown will come to an end by today. The government of Telangana extended the lockdown for ten more days and the relaxation period is imposed from 6 AM to 5 PM. The grace period would be one hour and the state would head for a complete lockdown from 6 PM to 6 AM. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) wanted the officials and the cops to impose strict night curfew all over. However, some of the districts would head for lockdown in the existing times for ten more days. These districts continued to report high number of cases for coronavirus.

The government said that all the shops should be shut by 5 PM and there would be a grace period of one hour for them to reach their homes. The Telangana cabinet also decided that all the government offices would work from 9 AM to 5 PM. The cabinet also approved the new Pay Revision Commission (PRC) for the employees. The hiked salaries will be paid from June this year. The arrears for the previous months will be adjusted and paid in 36 instalments. The state cabinet also approved to start special food processing zones in nine districts of Telangana. The new cases of coronavirus saw a steep decline in the recent week and the government decided to offer more relaxations in Telangana.
