Telangana Lockdown Extended Till May 29th:- The cabinet of Telangana met yesterday to discuss about the extension of lockdown and how to curb the coronavirus in the state. Telangana Chief Minister KCR announced that the lockdown has been extended till May 29th in the state through a press meet. The total number of coronavirus cases in the country crossed 45,000 mark and as per the reports, 1500 people passed away. The total number of positive cases in Telangana crossed 1100 mark. The Centre announced that the country would be under lockdown till May 17th but Telangana will continue to be under lockdown till May 29th. Telangana would be under curfew from 7PM to 6AM every day. KCR made it clear that only hardware, steel and electrical shops will remain open in the red zones across the state.
He also said that Hyderabad would be under strict lockdown. 50% of the shops will be open in green and orange zones across Telangana. The number of total active cases of Telangana are said to be 439. Except in a medical emergency, KCR asked the people above 65 years to stay in their homes strictly. The wine shops across Telangana will open today and the liquor prices in the state are increased by 16%. The shops will remain open from 10AM till 6PM. KCR asked that it is the responsibility of the shop owners about the social distancing and if it is not followed, the shops would be seized.
