Telangana Assembly Plans A Resolution Against CAA

Telangana Assembly Plans A Resolution Against CAA:- Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) already clarified that their government is against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), National Population Register (NPR) and National Register of Citizens (NRC). A resolution will be passed in the state's Assembly against CAA, NPR and NRC during this budget session which is taking place currently. The decision was taken today by the Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy during the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting. KCR issued a clarification during the meeting about the resolution.

AIMIM is expected to support the resolution in the state's Assembly. KCR will initiate the discussion against CAA, NPR, NRC in the Assembly after which a detailed session of discussion will take place in the house. The house will pass the resolution after the discussion. Several states (non-BJP states) from the country opposed the Centre's decision and passed a resolution in their respective Assembly houses already. Telangana is the latest state to join the list.
