Pawan Kalyan Asks to Stop Uranium Mining in Nallamala Forest:- Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan always stepped out to fight for the people against the governments of Telugu states for a social cause. He joined hands with senior Congress leader V Hanumantha Rao after the Centre planned to mine uranium from the Nallamala forest in Telangana. He said that this would have a huge impact on the biodiversity damaging the environment. Pawan said that uranium mining will generate radon which comes from the radioactive decay of uranium.

"Uranium mines underground have huge concentrations of radon and this leads to lung cancer and kidney issues for the people living around. All the groundwater will be contaminated because of uranium mining. Krishna waters will be polluted because of this. This also a huge threat to pregnant women if they consume this contaminated water. Several people brought this to the notice of Janasena. We are in plans to organize an all-party meeting to discuss about the issue" said Pawan Kalyan.

He also said that he would consult several environmental scientists and experts soon. The meeting date of all-party meeting will be announced soon.
