All Banks to Be Closed on the Eve of Guru Nanak Jayanti

On the eve of Guru Nanak Jayanti, all banks will be closed on Monday. Even the local RBI branch will also be closed.

However, the public can pay their bills at Mee Seva centres or individual counters for property tax, LRS and trade licence fees, electricity and water bills.

Monday is the last day when demonetised notes can be used to pay some category of bills and fees.

Besides the closing of banks on Monday, bank employees are unsure about the ATMs functioning. All India Bank Employees’ Association secretary B. Seetha Rambabu said that "Rs 2,000 notes would be available in ATMs from Monday"
