Around 30 fire tenders were spotted near Sadar Bazar in Old Delhi after a massive fire broke out in the slums on Monday. The market is one of the oldest one which has stuff like household goods and other in a wholesale.

Police sources said “the fire started with a short circuit and spread quickly to surrounding huts. So far, there have been no reports of any injuries.”

However, an eye-witness claimed that “the fire began due to cylinder blasts in the slum.”

"There is massive fire here, and from what I know is that cylinder blasts also have taken place in the slums," the eye-witness told news agency ANI.
