Polish magazine 'wSieci' or 'The Network'’s latest edition led to an outrage, after the cover page picture featured white woman draped in European Union flag, while she is being groped by dark-skinned hands.
Not stopping there, the cover page even has a caption titled 'Islamic rape of Europe' depicting that, the woman is being raped by the refugees.
The image tried to expose that, the influx of the refugees in the European Union has increased the rape cases in the region and the 'Islamic' refugees are the ones to be blamed for it.
Strengthening it more, the magazine further contained several related stories on the sexual assault and rape of women in Cologne, Germany.
The issue of sexual assaults on New year's eve, where around 1,000 complaints were reportedly filed in Cologne, were also included in the edition.
However, the reports suggest that, a very few of the identified perpetrators in the Cologne attack were refugees.
Cover page’s related article’s author Aleksandra Rybinska wrote in the magazine, “The people of old Europe after the events of New Year’s Eve in Cologne painfully realized the problems arising from the massive influx of immigrants. The first signs that things were going wrong, however, were there a lot earlier. They were still ignored or were minimized in significance in the name of tolerance and political correctness”.
A cover page created a huge controversy and went viral in the social media. While few strictly opposed it, a few others gave a different version which is thought provoking. Check out a few of the important tweets below, public made on the issue.
