J.V. Ramudu, Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police, has sought the allocation of 25 more IPS officers for the AP state, calling the Union Home Secretary in New Delhi.
Speaking on the same, Ramudu said that, along with the allocation of 25 more IPS officers, even the funds to set up the police academy for Andhra Pradesh, have also been sought.
He added that, nearly, 2000 acres of the forest land, was identified, to set up the police academy.
Ramudu further added that, the deployment of a more number of BSF and CRFP platoons, have been urged to the Centre.
After the bifurcation of the Telugu states, among the number of problems, Andhra Pradesh faced and number of requirements it needed to reconstruct, police academy is one of them.
