All set for Amaravathi stone ceremony

As there are less than 24 hours to start the historical occasion, Amaravathi stone ceremony, Andhra Pradesh government has made the never before arrangements, to make the event successful.

Uddandarayunipalem village, on the banks of the Krishna river, where PM Narendra Modi will be laying the foundation tomorrow, has become a major tourist attraction with people from all over the state making a beeline to see the area before it turns out into huge capital.

No religious discriminations in Amaravathi

To avoid unnecessary religious discriminations in Amaravathi capital construction, the government is giving importance to all the major religions and thus allowed them to participate in the prayer meeting, held yesterday at Guntur, Acharya Nagarjuna University.  

Soil and water brought from the various places of the state, along with other religious places, were kept there as Hindu priests, Muslim clerics, Christian priests, Buddhist and Jain Monks and others took turn to read out their scriptures and pray for the success of the efforts to construct Amaravathi as the new capital city.

Mana Matti, Mana Neeru Mana Amaravathi - Naidu

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, AP assembly speaker Kodela Sivaprasad Rao and many other state and Central ministers participated in the prayers around the piles of bags and pots containing the water and soil from 17 sacred places,  including Tirumala and Srisailam in Andhra Pradesh, Ajmer Dargah in Rajasthan, Vaishno Devi in the north to Sabarimalai in the south.
 
One litre water and one kg soil were  also brought from each of the 16,000 villages, across Andhra Pradesh state. The soil was later spilled, through the helicopters, across Amaravathi city.

 

Later, speaking about his vision to make Amaravathi, one among the greatest and iconic cities of the world, Naidu gave a slogan called, “Mana Matti, Mana Neeru Mana Amaravathi.”

On the other side, all state Chief Ministers and other biggies from 19 countries, are invited for the Amaravathi ceremony. Union Minister Sujana Chowdhary said that, Telangana Chief Minister KCR, Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal and Tamil Nadu governor K. Roshaiah’s participation in the ceremony is already confirmed. 

Amaravathi ceremony: Massive feast to 16000 farmers

Andhra Pradesh reportedly organized a massive feast for all the visitors, along with the 16,000 farmers, who have given their lands for the new capital. Actor Sai Kumar and playback singer Sunitha will host the programme, with a wide variety of cultural events in Amaravathi ceremony.

Hope, as assured by Chandrababu Naidu, Amaravathi would soon turn as the world class capital.
