Beggars say no to Naidu offer

Andhra Pradesh government offered to give Rs. 10000 for each beggar if they are not found at Pushkaraalu ghats.

Pushkaraalu deaths have already become very tragic in Andhra Pradesh. So basing on this, the government is not in the position of taking any more chance and making all the possible arrangements for the safe conduct of Pushkaraalu.

Regarding this, a few of the officials took the Beggars issue at the pushkaaralu ghats, to the Chief Minister, due to which the pilgrims from various states are suffering a lot. Chandrababu Naidu along with the officials felt that, the beggars issue might degrade the state, as pilgrims from various states talk about it. To avoid this, Naidu called on the beggars and offered to give Rs. 10000 plus free food and accommodation till the completion of Pushkaraalu.

What is the reason to reject Naidu Pushkaraalu offer?

But to the shock of the officials, the beggars rejected the government’s offer on the spot. The reason behind this is, Pushkaraalu event is in great demand and the pilgrims from across the country are turning to the Telugu states to take the holy dip in the river. So, at this time, when at least half of the pilgrims offer money to the beggars, a large amount of money can be collected. In fact, the amount (Rs. 10000) government offered to pilgrims can actually be earned in a single day during the Godavari Pushkaraalu.

So it is better to think about another alternative to the beggars, so that the pilgrims would be on the safe side.
