Special status is unofficially granted by the centre, may be Pawan is not aware of it, says Kambhampati Ram Mohan Rao, special representative of the Andhra Pradesh government in Delhi.
Speaking to the media, Kambhampati said, “the central government has never refused the special status to the Andhra Pradesh, but just said that, as the issue is very sensitive, there are various kinds of pressures. So it said that it takes time, but assured the implementation of the proposal.

“Even after assuring this, it would be foolishness, if the MPs again be back of the centre and ask for the implementation of the special status, this should be minded by Janasena Chief Pawan Kalyan and think before commenting on TDP MPs,” Kambhampati said.
He further added that, “the TDP has overcome many issues from the past one year and is striving every minute for the development of the state, so to make this possible, a bit patience is needed. Pawan did not make any controversial comments, we believe that he is still with us.”
Every 4 days, we met the centre - Kambhampati
"Commenting on the MPs personal business is not right, they are concerned about the state very much. On an average, we met the central ministers for every 4 days. May be Pawan is not aware of all these. Along with Pawan, we are ready to take suggestions from any leaders and we wish Pawan to join us in the development of AP”, Kambhampati concluded.
Andhrawishesh view:
It seems the TDP leaders are maintaining a soft corner on Pawan and are trying to drag him into the TDP completely, for the benefit of the party. But Pawan might not be wishing to join the party, as it might create a rivalry in the Telangana state.
