Matthaiah call data, a threat to national security?

“Revealing the call data of Matthaiah and his wife and brother, along with TDP Christian cell department leader Sebastian, is a threat to the national security,” service providers say.

It is known that, the Telecom service providers are ordered by the AP police to submit the call data of Matthaiah, who was accused in cash for vote scam. The officials asked the data for the investigation of the case and it was known that, the service providers asked for one month time to submit the concerned call data.

But on Thursday, the case took a new turn. The service providers filed a petition in the court saying that, it would be a threat to the national security, if the call data of Matthaiah is provided. So regarding this, the service providers said that, they need to consult the central home department for providing the call data.

But the Andhra Pradesh police said that, they asked only the call data of Matthaiah and his wife and brother, and Sebastian. There would be no relation to the national security as, all the mentioned ones are common people. "When Matthaiah is hiding in his aunt's house and not even coming out to save his brother, then how come such a coward awaken a threat to national security," the police questioned.

On the other hand, as the ‘T’ intelligence chief and home department members had already gone on leave, it is estimated that this is making the CCS police to force the service providers more.

Andhrawishesh view:

Keeping the national security a side, if Matthaiah’s call data is out, Telangana officials would be in a threat and that might be the reason for the latter to force the service providers not to reveal the call data.
