Hyderabad might become a union territory?

AP NGO, state head Ashok Babu, demands security for the Andhra employees in Telangana state.

Regarding the implementation of section 8, Andhra Pradesh Journalist Forum (APJF) strongly said that, “if section 8 is not implemented, then the bifurcation of the Telugu states will also be not accepted. According to the law, the Andhra people still have the right to stay in Telangana for 10 years. We are just asking something, which is there in the law, the governor has to respond on this issue.”

Minister Ravela Kishore Babu, Ghanta Srinivasa Rao, Devineni Uma spoke at the meeting, supporting the implementation of section 8 in the Telugu states and raised criticism towards KCR saying that, he is harassing Andhra employees in the state.

10 minutes, 10 years:

Minister Achhenna said that, “strikes cannot influence the sections implementation or cancellation,” implying the KCR statement to strike if section 8 is implemented.

“We have the every right to stay in Hyderabad for 10 years. We are not going to leave the city for at least 10 minutes, and we are not going to stay even 10 minutes after the completion of 10 years”, Achhenna said.   Along with Acchenna, Deputy CM Krishna Murthy, Yanamala made their style of comments on the issue.

AP TDP MLC Muddu Krishnama Naidu gave an open challenge to KCR saying that, “if Telangana government is that worried about section 8, then it would be better if Hyderabad is made a union territory (authority under the central government).”

However, the response regarding the issue is yet to be heard from Telangana government.
