As many as 251 out of the 423 centres in the State are for engineering and the remaining 172 for agriculture/medicine. There are 111 centres for engineering and 78 for agriculture/medicine in the eight zones of Hyderabad. About 1.13 lakh students in both streams will appear for the exam in Hyderabad.

The engineering test will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the agriculture/medicine from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. The question paper pattern would be in the form of multiple questions. A total of 160 questions would be asked for both the tests. The preliminary key of this paper will be declared on May 16.

The objection from the candidates regarding the key would be accepted till May 23. After that date no such objections would be entertained by the institute under any circumstances. After this procedure was done, then on May 28, the ranks will be declared officially by the institute.

EAMCET exam is also one of the reason for the declaration of salary hike to RTC employees yesterday. Government thought that students would face a difficult time for traveling to the exam halls and so finally winded up the salary hike issue by Wednesday itself.

The RTC has provided helpline numbers - 9959226160 and 9959226154 - for the assistance of students.
