Telangana High Court Imposes a Deadline on TSRTC Strike

Telangana High Court Imposes a Deadline on TSRTC Strike:- A special bench in Telangana High Court seems to have been fed up in convincing Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) employees and Telangana government in bringing them to a common stand. It is almost 50 days and there is yet to be a resolution found for the ongoing RTC employees strike. The division bench comprising of Chief Justice Raghavendra Singh Chauhan and Justice A Abhishek Reddy referred the matter to the labour court to take the final call in deciding if the strike is legal or not. The High Court wanted the issue to be resolved in the time frame of two weeks.

Telangana government is strict on its stand and is not in a mood to fulfil the promises of TSRTC who took on strike during Dasara season. The High Court bench asked the Labour Commissioner to submit the reasons for not referring the dispute to the concerned parties. On the other side, TSRTC JAC Convenor Ashwathama Reddy who has been on indefinite fast called off his fast. He said that the protests would continue until the government steps down to resolve their issue. The Sadak Bandh which has been planned today has been called off after the High Court's verdict.

The TSRTC JAC confirmed that they are ready to initiate talks with the government if the Telangana government is ready to fulfil their demands.
