A final judgment has come for Satyam Ramalinga Raju case through the court and he is sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment.
After years together interrogation, Satyam scam's court judgment took its final turn. Ramalinga Raju and his brother former Managing director of Satyam, Ramaraju were sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment and also 5 crores each as fine. The rest of the members who were found guilty in the case were also declared 7 years imprisonment and 25 lakh each as fine.
BVLN Chakravarthy, the special judge, as declared earlier gave his final judgment regarding this huge scam case. During the interrogation, it is known that almost 14000 crores were gambled and Ramalinga Raju accepted in the court all the fraud he committed towards Satyam.
It's been heard that Ramalinga Raju and his brother Ramaraju requested the court for decreasing the imprisonment, but the court was in no way of hearing them and rejected their request implying 7 years imprisonment and 5 crores of fine is a reasonable punishment for this kind of fraud.
The court even offered the accused, the chance of appealing to higher courts and get the judgment accordingly.
After the judgment, the premises of the court were completely crowded with the public and few of the lawyers talking to the media informed the details of imprisonment and fines on all the ten accused people. They also added that anyone who are involved in such type of frauds will be facing this kind of punishments and opined that earning money in legal way will be appreciated and allowed, but cheating the public this way is never appreciable in any corner of the world.
