Traditional story tellers ignored ?

The katha vachaks of Ayodhya and Ayodhya research institute [ARI], an autonomous body of culture department which organizes religious events, are in a cold war since few days and now they broke out into words cursing each other.

The katha vachaks argue that the historical kathas were completely been kept aside by the institute for which the institute totally denied it saying that it was just a foolish argument and claimed that they were misleading the public.

One of the Katha vachak, Pawan shastri alleged that kathas are stopped claiming the shortage of funds in the beginning and now this time lack of processing and recommendation is expected to be the reason behind this.

He then added that the katha vachaks list will be prepared by the intellectuals from Ayodhya and Sanskrit as well, for which already a selection committee was also formed and accordingly, the katha vachaks will be invited.

Pawan shastri said, from the past eight years, it had been the demand of the devotees that Katha and Ramleela should be organized regularly as 10000 to 50000 pilgrims visit the place everyday and a spiritual bonding can be observed with such type of programs.

He said when Ramleela was taken into consideration groups from other states were also called but now, the artists from Ayodhya formed into groups with different names and started to perform accordingly.

Hope this clash ends and traditional story tellers gets their identity back at Ayodhya thus our culture's significance might also be protected.
