The lawmakers of Aam Aadmi Party were booked in clashed between police and 500 supporters of the AAP. About six AAP supporters were arrested and two MLAs names were included in the FIR registered by the police. Going into the story, two children, who had reportedly gone missing on Friday, had later been found. Locals have claimed the children were kidnapped and that they managed to nab one of the alleged kidnappers. However, the police did not take any action against the culprit and so the locals approached the lawmakers.
Along with the supporters, AAP MLAs went to the police station and demanded action against the accused. However, the police said a different version and added they acted promptly over the complaint. The FIR against the lawmakers and other protesters have been registered under sections of rioting, unlawful assembly, obstructing public servant from carrying out his duty, assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty, voluntarily causing hurt, criminal intimidation and mischief at Burari police station.
The police claim that there were anti-social elements in the supporters of AAP. The MLAs are identified as Burari Sanjeev Jha and Akhilesh Tripathi.
