Power crisis again hits Telangana and the authorities have announced fresh cuts from today. During July and August months, considerable amount of rainfall was registered and so hydral power was produced. Eventually power cuts were decreased however, things are back as there were no rains over the past couple of weeks and DISCOMs again started power cuts.
Since two days, especially in Hyderabad city, power cuts were irregular and demand is more, supply is less. Yesterday power authorities discussed the schedule of the power cuts in the state and around Hyderabad. Hereafter power won't be available for four hours daily and this situation is likely to continue till the supply meets the demand. But if we look at situation, power cut slot might increase gradually and the authorities aren't planning for any alternative.
The rural areas will be get six to eight hours power cuts and for agriculture needs, the authorities are yet to take a decision.
