Lok Satta national president Jayaprakash Narayan surprised with new version statements on Andhra Pradesh bifurcation. At Lok Satta leadership met, JP blamed late YS Rajasekhar Reddy and current AP CM Chandrababu Naidu for the bifurcation of the state and also predicted that it would be difficult for AP to get a special status.

“Odisha, Rajastan and many states are demanding special status since very long time but the government is not in favor. Now AP CM Chandrababu is trying to put pressure on the central government to get special status. It might not be possible and Chandrababu is diverting the people's attention in this issue,” said JP.

The former Kukatpalli MLA also questioned Chandrababu about the financial status of AP. “When AP is in huge financial crunch, how come the government can spend Rs 30 crores on CM's swearing ceremony and Rs 10 crores for renovation of CM's office. The 100 days government showed zero results and at least from now TDP government should concentrate on public issues.  Development should be decentralised and so that every backward place in AP will get the fruits of government,” added JP.

Clarifying that he would continue in politics, JP said, “I will step down from national president post and give way for the young to lead the party. We will expand our presence in other districts too. I'm not going to quit politics, for the progress of nation, Lok Satta is always ready for any sort of help.”
