Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao' statements on media again tuned controversial. Yesterday at Warangal, KCR said he will bury the media 10 feet under the earth if they insult or show Telangana culture in bad light. He also threatened media that any channel which does the same in future will have to face similar consequences and will pay extra for it.
These remarks caught the attention of national media and several media houses and senior journalists have condemned KCR' statements. Congress spokesperson Renuka Choudary has slammed KCR for making derogatory remarks while speaking to Times NOW channel and said the Telangana CM must be suffering with a psychological disorder. Renuka also criticised KCR for his governance over the past three months. “The last three months have been a hell of governance by KCR and his government. There is no power, there is floods kind of situation and yet the government is unmoved. The two channels were stopped since two and half months, this shows KCR is trying to be a dictator. If this continues, so KCR will be dethroned from the chief minister post by the people,” said Renuka.
Though Union government has directed state government to take necessary to lift the ban of channels, TRS government is in a ignore mode. Meanwhile, women journalists who staged a protest outside CM's camp office, complained to Human Rights Commission over the police who arrested them mercilessly.
