Being in public domain like social media, helped Narendra Modi to connect with more number of people. His tweets, Facebook posts go viral within minutes after they being published and now the Prime Minister has advised the same to his council of Minister.
Apparently Modi asked all the ministers to open Twitter accounts, Facebook pages as early as possible. And they have been advised to put all policy initiatives in the public domain through these platforms, initiate discussions, take feedback and incorporate valuable suggestions, besides maintaining a constant dialogue process with public.
Modi has been in public domain for the past two years and currently he has two Twitter accounts. Individual Twitter account @narendramodi is his personal account and he will be communicating with this as a political leader while the Prime Minister official account @PMOIndia will be used officially to communicate as Prime Minister of a nation. This account will be used for placing a new policy document for public perusal and feedback or communicating with world leaders.
Modi is highly successful in using social media and how far will his council of ministers succeed like he did is something we have to wait and see. Anyways a good strategy but one must make sure they won't turn out to be a controversy.
