The Election Commission of India [ECI] has today announced the 2014 general elections schedule for the 16th Lok Sabha. At 10:30 AM at Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi, ECI commissioner VS Sampath has officially announced the elections schedule. In about nine phase the elections will be held. The election code will come into play right and citizens can enroll for new voter ID at their respective constituencies on March 9th said Sampath.

Over nine lakh polling centers have been established for this edition of elections. In Andhra Pradesh the elections will be held in two phases on April 30th and May 7th. The Lok Sabha and Assembly elections are linked. On May 16th all the results will be declared.
