Bharatiya Janata Party led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will bag 227 seats in the upcoming general elections according to the Times NOW-C Voter. If the elections are to be held now, the BJP will win 202 seats, a significant increase its tally from 116 seats compared from 2009. On the other hand Congress number will drop steeply from 206 to 89. Overall, the NDA led by BJP is expected to win 227 seats, falling 45 short of the magic mark of 272 in a house of 543 to form government in the national capital.
The Congress party is likely lose 117 seats and almost in every state, the party will face the heat of the public. Interestingly, the non NDA and UPA parties will get 207 seats out of 543 and regional parties of various states will play a crucial role in the forming government at the center. The survey was conducted between January 15 and February 8, and is based on a sample size of 14,142 respondents across 28 states.
In Andhra Pradesh, YSR Congress party may get 13 seats out of 42, TDP, TRS parties would share 10 seats each and Congress would get 6 seats. This time in AP, BJP may bag two seats and AIMIM is likely to retain its single seat.
