Protesting MLAs Evicted At Midnight By Marshals

45 MLAs belong to TDP and 10 MLAs belong to YSRCP were forcibly taken out of the Assembly at midnight on Monday.

The MLAs of Telugu Desam Party and YSR Congress party protesting the introduction of the Telangana bill staged their protest in different ways like tearing off and burning of the copies of the draft bill sent by the Center.  They made noisy scenes in the Assembly and also at the media point.

At last after the Assembly was adjourned till Tuesday at 4.00 pm, they sat in the Assembly in protest in front of the Chamber of the Speaker.  They had their lunch and dinner at the Assembly and they also slept in the Assembly.

The MLAs demanded an assurance from the Speaker that the Assembly would follow the conventional ways in the case of dealing with the draft bill sent by the Center until which time they would stay in the Assembly.

They did not heed to the requests made by the Assembly Secretary Sadaram and Chief Marshal Karunakar to stop the protest in the Assembly.  After taking permission from the Speaker Nadendla Manohar the Marshals disrupted their ‘deeksha’ and transported them to their respective party offices.
