Tirumala Brahmotsavams from 5th October

TTD Chairman Kanumuri Bapiraju released wall papers detailing Brahmotsavams in Tirumala.

The annual Brahmotsavams will be conducted from 5th to 13th October.  Programs of most importance and interest devotees are Garuda Utsavam on 9th, Rath Utsavam on 12th and Chakra Snanam on 13th.

Although a lot of time is left for the preparations, TTD is not able to estimate clearly as to the number of visitors in the wake of political scenario of the State.  The number of devotees visiting the temple town has come down drastically for one month.  The turn of the events is quite unanticipated at present.

But preparations are to be made from now if the pilgrimage will be as much as last year.  This year in fact the estimation is more than that as the new golden chariot will be used this year in the Brahmotsavams.    Preparations also include number of laddus to be prepared as Tirumal Venkateswara Swamy’s laddu is famous and devotees are very particular to get laddu prasadam, also to take home.
