Today the High Court gave a stay on the orders issued by AP Lokayukta on the distribution of Bahini brothers' fish medicine to asthma patients.  

AP Lokayukta on the petition filed by Balala Hakkula Sangham represented by Achyuta Rao summoned the Collectors of Hyderabad and Rangareddy Districts and the Secretary of Nampally Exhibition grounds to inquire why Government supported a private program that is not conducted in the interests of the general public.   

Lokayukta directed Bathini Brothers to remit Rs.2 lakhs for using the place in Nampally grounds from where the distribution of the fish medicine was done.  Although the medicine is given free to the Asthma patients, Lokayukta found that it is not in order in the wake of an unscientific and crude method of treatment which Bathini brothers claim as Siddha Ayurvedic medicine that has been kept as a family secret and has been given free for the last 160 years.  

Now as Lokayukta's orders are stayed by the High Court, the program of fish medicine distribution will go on as scheduled earlier on 8th and 9th June at Nampally Exhibition grounds.
