At last the reason behind the silence of Sonia Gandhi on the issue of Separate Telangana demand is revealed by a Congress leader to the media persons at the UPA dinner place.  Although she has sympathy for Telangana, she is obliged to honor the sentiments of Seemandhra people too.  When a section of the people wants Telangana to be separated and other section wants the State to be united, both of them cannot be satisfied with a single decision.  That is why Sonia is silent on the issue in spite of the revolt even from within the party and in spite of the alarming pre-poll surveys.

The Telangana Congress MPs gave a dead line of 30th May to the High Command to come out with a decision on Telangana and preferably in favor of it.  Their plight also is considered by the High Command as it is clear from the talks.  Telangana Congress leaders are worst hit as they do not have any thing in their control not even a word of promise due to the silence maintained by Sonia Gandhi on the Telanagana issue.
