December 31 is just around the corner and you should already have your own plans for the night.

Though the right is not described threadbare as in other Western countries, India still has a decent right laid out in favor of the people. As Professor Corwin says, this is a right to people that grants 'Liberty against Government'. A citizen has the right to exercise the freedoms in the constitution, which grant him liberty from any official interference in the case of his personality and things closely associated with his personality, unless and until there are reasonable grounds for intrusion.
• Deny any police intervention of your privacy unless they have acceptable grounds for suspicion of an offence at the venue.
• They cannot film the celebrations or any event at your house without specific provision. This is a clear breach of your freedom and unlawful
• Phone tapping without proper permission is also not allowed as per the Indian Telegraph Act. Go through the Act to learn more on when and why can police tap your phone.
• Gaining access to your conversations on landline, mobiles or web based applications needs the permission of a high ranking official such as the Home Secretary himself of higher.
Though the police department is strict and tries to do its own duty to ensure maximum safety of the people, there are a bunch of crooks in the department like any other who abuse the powers vested in them trying to take advantage of the innocent and unsuspecting citizens.
