CBN Case: Supreme Court Reserves Verdict:- The quash petition filed by former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s Skill Development scam verdict was adjourned to Tuesday by the Supreme Court bench. CBN has challenged the high court of Andhra Pradesh's orders for refusing his quash petition against the arrest alleged misappropriation of 371 Cr funds in a skill development case.
A bench of Justice Aniruddha Bose and Bela M Trivedi has reserved the judgment by refusing the request of senior advocate Harish Salve, who sought interim bail for Mr Naidu considering his age and time (40 days) he has already spent in custody.
Supreme court senior advocate Ranjit Kumar appeared on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh state government and opposed the request of Luthra. The bench also cleared to Luthra that the main matter of the case will be continued in the High Court and only the applicability of Section 17A of the Prevention of Corruption Act case in Naidu's arrest is reserved for judgment.
Besides this Nara Chandrababu Naidu's wife, Nara Bhuvaneswari has been residing in Rajahmundry for the past 37 days. Police have reportedly stopped the leaders, who wanted to meet her and asked not to come to meet her by saying that there was no permission to meet Bhuvaneswari. She said that all party cadres are like their family members and wondered how the police can restrict the children from coming to meet their mother.
