TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu's padayatra is evoking good response, which is apparently worrying Congress and YSR Congress. As a move to win 2014 elections, the sources said, YSR Congress party is also thinking to counter Babu's Vastunna Meekosam by fielding YS Rajashekara Reddy's daughter Sharmila. If news is to believed, Sharmila is most likely to take out padayatra after this Dasara festival. However, YSR Congress party spokesperson Ambati Rambabu has said that so far no decision was taken on this.

In fact, YSR Congress was in a dilemma to continue the Odarpu Yatra, which was kick started by Jaganmohan Reddy or launch padayatra. The decision on the same would be out by October 10, said Ambati Rambabu. Another YSRC leader Gattu Ramachandra Rao has also spoken on this subject. He said padayatra was like Brahmastram and said before using that Brahmastram, the party would be making use of other options. So, based on this statement the political observers said that YSRC might launch padayatra but may be a few months before 2014 elections. They said YSRC would most likely resume Odarpu Yatra for now.
